"Harpenden's Award Winning Classic Car Meeting" |

Motorcycles & Scooters Classic motorcycles and scooters have contributed so much to the diversity and colour of an evening at Classics on the Common.
Traditionally, motorcycles and scooters have parked on the common in an area referred to as the 'Baa Lambs' and the organisers are keen scooters and motorcycles continue to use this area. As in 2009 the 'Baa Lambs' will be fenced for health and safety reasons to prevent two-wheel vehicles getting onto the common over the drop kerbs and pavement. The pavement is the domain of pedestrians and spectator safety is necessarily of paramount importance to all stakeholders. To this end, a strict demarcation between spectators and vehicles needs to be maintained, hence the need to provide temporary fencing with spectator access gates. Motorcycles and scooters will enter the display area with all other entrants via the main arena entrance opposite the Silver Cup public house and from there will be directed to a specific entry adjacent to the Baa Lambs area. After our experience last year we will be creating a dedicated access lane for 2 wheel access between the main entrance and the Baa Lamb area to maintain a complete separation of motor cycles, scooters and pedestrians.
Marshals will be on hand at the entry point to the Baa Lambs to check and assist with tickets for two-wheeled entrants. The £3 minimum entrance fee for two-wheeled vehicles, which was introduced in 2009 will be extended to the 2010 event. The owners of classic motorcycles and scooters are encouraged to join in the charitable aspirations of the event and apply in advance for ticket via the Ticket Application page.
