Charities

The ethos of the original picnic of 15 years ago remains.  However, happily now as a by-product of the gathering, Classics on the Common raises a significant amount of money in one evening for charity.

As the event has grown, so the charitable disposals from the proceeds of the event have grown. Since inception, in excess of £40,000 has been distributed to national and local charities and other good causes.

The tremendous sum of just short of £10,000 was raised in 2009 thanks to the generosity of classic vehicle entrants and the public, which was distributed between:

• Hertfordshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre
• Grove House Hospice
• Other good causes supported by Rotary

We are delighted to announce we will be supporting the following charities in 2010:
