Spectators
- We are happy to confirm
that there is no entry charge for spectators and no
ticket requirement, but a voluntary donation in aid of our charities
will be very welcome. Rotary Club members and helpers will welcome your
donation The vehicle
owner’s pay a small fee for the privilege of entering their vehicle
for every one’s enjoyment
- Classics on the Common is
open to all Harpenden residents and non residents alike. The event is
held on common land as a recreational past time for the enjoyment of
all.
Tombola
- We would
also be delighted
to welcome you to the main control tent where you can partake of our
splendid charity tombola!
Public
Transport

Traffic in the
vicinity of Harpenden gets extremely busy on the evening of Classics on the
Common.

The Common is within
an easy walk of Harpenden Railway Station and visitors coming from the North
or South would be well advised to consider parking at St. Albans or Luton
Parkway Stations and arriving in Harpenden by train.
Spectator Car
Parking

Subject to
satisfactory ground conditions on the day,
Harpenden Town Council has granted permission for spectators to park on
the area of Common between Cravells Road and Walkers Road.

Spectators
will need to cross Walkers Road to reach the main Common. Please
cross with care. A one way system will be in operation
onto the spectator parking area
with entry via Cravells Road and the exit via Walkers Road.

A final
decision on ground conditions will be made on the morning of the event.
If the ground is unsuitable,
alternative spectator parking in the Town or Station Car Parks
will be signposted (normal parking fees apply)
