Rotary in Harpenden announce that the date for next year's Classics on the Common will be Wednesday 22nd July 2020. The age qualification will stay at 25 years for all vehicles, other than motorcycles and scooters - 1995 or older. As in all previous years, we will allow some special exotics to add colour and flavour to the event. There will be no age restriction for motorcycles and scooters.
Pre-booking is essential for all vehicles.
No increase in entry donations for the third year running
The basic donation stays at £12 for cars and £8 for motorcycles and scooters.
Because of its popularity, we know the event causes traffic problems and we are again offering an early entry ticket which will allow you to get to the main Common from 11.30 am. This is a special concession and we are asking for an extra £5 donation for the privilege.
See the application forms for full details. These will be on the website mid to end March.
We are also again making some operational changes to help congestion by erecting barriers and fencing on the previous day that hopefully will help ease the flow of traffic on the day. We again thank Harpenden Town Council, Hertfordshire County Council and the Police for their kind permission to carry out the work.
